Magnetic Belt Wrap Skirt

None of JAM’s products have tags or care labels. Apart from the fact almost everyone finds tags annoying, for those with sensory-related dressing needs tags can make a huge difference to comfort, and therefore regulation and participation in other more important activities. Printed-on labels are also beneficial for those with reduced mobility who may be at risk of getting pressure sores from big bulky tags, or are unable to adjust their clothing to eliminate the discomfort caused by tags and labels.

Instead of having to struggle with a traditional belt buckle or traditional skirt-fasteners such as a tie, our magnetic belt buckle just simply snaps together with minimal effort. This is useful for those that experience difficulty with the physical fine motor skills required with traditional fasteners, and for those that have assistance to get dressed it also makes getting the skirt on and off a lot quicker and easier for the person assisting. As it is a belt buckle, it can be used to adjust the width of the skirt belt for a wider or smaller fit.

There is one long velcro strip along the side of the waistband that allows for easy fastening of the skirt, but also adjustability. If you need to make the waistband a bit wider or smaller, you can attach the velcro at different points along the strip. This is high-quality velcro that is strong but also non-fluffy, for comfort and durability.

Instead of having to put feet through the skirt and pull it up and under your body, a wrap style means the skirt can be laid out in-position and then simple wrapped around your body and secured via our easy fasteners. This is convenient for people that get dressed lying down or in a seated position, such as those with lower limb difference, chronic fatigue or those that require physical assistance to get dressed.
