To our dearest JAM fam,
After almost eight years, JAM the label is coming to an end. ❤️
We wanted to firstly say that we're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, worn JAM and shared JAM with your friends and family.
We are so sad to be closing and this definitely isn’t the outcome we wanted.
When we launched JAM in our early twenties, we pictured big things for JAM. And we are enormously proud of what we have achieved and built. But the reality is that adaptive fashion in Australia just isn’t where it needs to be for a small business like ours to be financially viable. We have put our heart and soul into JAM but it is tough for small businesses to carry a clothing category and educate a whole market.
We are still incredibly passionate about the inclusion of people with disability, so we’ve been struggling to make this decision for a while. But it became even more evident when we both welcomed babies this year that we are needing to prioritise our families at the moment and therefore are unable to continue giving JAM the time and effort it deserves.
Adaptive fashion deserves a bigger stage and voice than it has in Australia at the moment and the work is not done (More to come from Molly on this soon). But for now, we want to reiterate just how grateful we are to our JAM fam for the support and love you have given and the community you have helped us build. What a privilege it has been.
Lots of love,
Emma and Molly, Co-founders
