Adaptive Clothing

designed to make dressing easier

How do our products work?

From the people
This clothing range is absolutely AMAZING! The materials you use are the feel I look for when buying for Max but can never find. He has skin conditions and shirts rub and itch him but your bamboo tshirts are my dream shirt for Max! Thankyou for putting in so much effort and making the absolute perfect range!

I have to say that my experience purchasing with JAM easily falls into one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had (and I’m no spring chicken). And every time I put the jacket on my son, I’m grateful for your design and inspiration.

Thank you so much. These are the best. My whole family, including myself, are neuro divergent. We all have major sensory issues. We love these t-shirts. So comfortable, no annoying tags, scratchy fabric or seams.

I love what you are doing to include us all with your adaptive clothing for people with a disability. Well done. I now finally feel heard and included and proud to have my disability, rather than feeling deficient and less than, as I have for the past 49 years, because you are making it ok and putting it out there to the world.

There is nothing else like this. I use their t-shirts at work and have just got a jacket (NDIS). I have ASD & FIBRO. It is amazing what they have created. I hope that this business expands big time. Anyone who is on the spectrum looking for less discomfort, they are really worth the price and top notch in quality.

FAQ

What is Adaptive Clothing?

Our products are adapted to include those with disability, which means all of our items have design features that make it easier for someone to get dressed or wear the clothing more comfortably. This category of fashion is often referred to as 'Adaptive Clothing'. Read more about this in our blog here.

Who can benefit from JAM's clothing?

Everyone benefits from universal design. We covered this in our blog. However, when we design our products we consider many different dressing needs. This includes but is not limited to:
- People with physical disability (including wheelchair users or someone with limb difference).
- People with fine motor difficulties (including those who have had a stroke or have arthritis).
- People with intellectual disability who may find the sequencing of dressing difficult.
- People with sensory needs such as someone who is Autistic who may find seams or tags irritating.
- People with chronic pain or chronic fatigue who need to conserve their energy or pain threshold for more meaningful tasks outside of dressing
If you are wondering whether our products would benefit you, please reach out to us by emailing us at hello@jamthelabel.com.

Can I purchase items through my NDIS package?

You sure can! JAM's Adaptive Clothing items are considered 'low-cost assistive technology' by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). All of our products have design features that assist in the act of dressing, increasing independence and participation in this daily activity. For more information head to our NDIS info page.
